What Goes Up Must Come Down

Today I helped John Grade take down his instillation at bitter lake reservoir. You can see the videos of the instillation here and here.

Here are some of the pictures from today, and you can see the rest here. You can see the sequence of me pushing off the sphere to the ground. 

I dug a circle in the ground where the piece stood. One reason was to fill in the holes and spread enough dirt around so we didn't have to go someplace else to get extra dirt. Another reason was to leave a little evidence of our presence. The dirt is a few inches lower then the rest of the ground, it should still be visible even after the grass grows back. Hopefully its visible for many years to come. 

John plans to reconstruct the structure in his yard and make a greenhouse, so if you want to see it again just drive by his yard.
