Blanks
I cut up a bunch more ring blanks yesterday.
The woods I have there are ebony, guayacan, chakte viga, louro preto, laurel negro, tamboti, and desert iron wood. almost all my rings start off from rough blanks like these. I buy these small pieces of turning stock from either Woodcraft or Rockler. From the pieces of turning stock i cut out all these small little blanks. I vary the thickness slightly but they are mostly the same. From these I make all the rings you can see in my shop.
